The Book Loft and Hans Christian Anderson Museum

This Solvang bookstore has an incredible children's selection.

There are additional books upstairs as well as some very interesting printing artifacts.  The most interesting section upstairs is the museum celebrating the literature of Hans Christian Anderson.

Royal Copenhagen Inn

This hotel is in the heart of Downtown Solvang.

There was a TV right accross from the two beds that allowed us to
watch the LA Clipper game prior to going to sleep for the night.
Almost directly below our room was the morning continental breakfast.

This visit was during the winter, so we did not go in the swimming pool.
A grass area behind the hotel.

Solvang Restaurant

The Solvang Restaurant

A charming restaurant in the heart of Solvang.  We had the town's specialty, ebelskivers.

Another Great Lunch at the Red Viking.

This time there we did not order the buffet, but instead ordered off their diverse menu.  My children had fish sticks and chicken tenders.  I had a french dip and my wife had a sandwich which was made from sliced meatballs.  The Red Viking is a very comfortable restaurant and we had a great conversation with a group of people next to us who have been visiting Solvang even longer than us.

The employees in the back are putting cheese into the small cups that go along with the homemade pretzels.  We bought both a pretzel and fudge at the Old Danish Fudge Kitchen.  It is right in the heart of downtown Solvang at 441 Alisal Road Unit A Solvang, Ca 93463  (805) 688-9932.
