Ostrich Land

Ostrich Land 610 Old Highway 246 Santa Ynez, California 93460 (805) 686-9696 It costs 4 dollars a piece to get into Ostrich Land (August 2010). Food for the animals cost us a dollar for a bowl full. The animals were a little aggressive when we fed them, but it was an overall fun experience. We kept our hands away from their mouths!

The Book Loft and Hans Christian Anderson Museum

This Solvang bookstore has an incredible children's selection. There are additional books upstairs as well as some very interesting printing artifacts. The most interesting section upstairs is the museum celebrating the literature of Hans Christian Anderson.

Santa Ynez Valley Hisorical Museum

3596 Sagunto Street Santa Ynez, CA 93460-9110 An incredible museum that featured the history of the Santa Ynez Valley. The Spanish, Danish, and Chumash all occupy this territory.
